Naomi Bensdorf Frisch, Principal


Naomi Bensdorf Frisch, Oboe, is an active performer and teacher in the Chicagoland area. Currently she holds principal Oboe positions with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chicago Chamber Orchestra, and the Da Corneto Opera Orchestra. She has been a soloist with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and has performed with many ensembles throughout the Midwest. As a 1999-2000 Fulbright Scholar, Naomi traveled to Germany to study with internationally renowned Oboist Ingo Goritzki and perform with the Southwest German Baroque Soloists. In addition to the Chamber Music faculty for the Midwest Young Artists program, Naomi teaches Oboe at the North Shore School for the Arts and in two high school music programs. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University in 1999, where she studied with Ray Still.
